Planting Tree Project

On April 5, 2017, we started our youth leadership program in Tanzania to see if it had a chance to succeed.
Under supervision of James Simeo students planted 30 fruit trees and 5 shadow trees around their school, with the hope that it will help the youth to have a beautiful environment and a good place to study after class hours.
Following this Mr. Oliver Katembo offered with the help of James to set up a Tree Nursery in his garden as a part of our Growing Seeds Worldwide Nature Project.
Under guidance, students helped to put the seeds in pots and in the weeks and months after that, the students and their teachers were also taught how to care for the emerging and growing trees.
In October of that same year 18.000 young Shadow and Fruit trees were ready to be planted and divided among selected schools, where the students helped to plant them.
Now almost 4 years later and with a significant expansion the tree nursery has become a huge success that certainly deserves to be followed in other countries around the world.
With special thanks to James Simeo and Mr. Oliver Katembo for their trust and faith for making this possible and as the Coordinators and leaders of the program in Tanzania.
